Ok so the video above has absolutely nothing to do with this post but it’s where I got the title and Jim Carey rocks! Anyways now that I have your attention I want to talk about what I feel is going to be the future in wedding photography or photography in general!
Photography like all things is constantly evolving, and recently the major manufactures have began releasing new camera models that have the ability to shoot HD video! I have been researching them waiting for the right one to come along that would work best for me and YOU! I finally made my purchase, and I’m ready to get started! The camera that I purchased can shoot 1080P FULL HD! One thing I do want to point out I am not trying to become a videographer, I am simply trying to augment what I have to offer! Better said I’m not trying to replace a videographer! I did that for a while and it’s not for me!
There are a lot of photographers offering slideshows to their clients, and why not? It’s an awesome way to enjoy your memories! But times are always changing and photographers are starting to create what I like to call hybrid slideshows. Slideshows that still put the main focus on pictures but also include short clips of video! But instead of describing to you what it is why don’t I just show you! Sound off in the comments and let me know what you think!
So after shooting Janet and Brandon’s wedding on Saturday which got over at about 4:30 for me, I decided to call my good friend Arnoldo. He had asked me to photograph their biggest homecoming of the year after the awesome pix I shot at Hardee’s HC dance! I expected the wedding to go longer. The dance was in New Port Richey about a two hour drive from my house. So I changed clothes real quick and downloaded all my cards from the wedding and made a backup of them and headed out. I made pretty good time. But when I got there the back gate was locked, so after a little curb hopping and getting stopped by a rent a cop I finally arrived!
I set up my lights and started popping off shots! I also got to try out my new camera low light video capability and while I’m no videographer but I think the video rocks! It’s a bit noisy but keep in mind that it was shot in complete darkness! Click here to check out Arnoldo’s post!
I had just gotten my new camera and needed to test it out, and wouldn’t you know some people were requesting some post cards with downtown scenery! Hardee Postcards is a project that a coworker of mine, all photography is done by me. These are a few of my faves, for some reason I really like the one with the safe! Don’t forget to leave me some comment love!
I had a busy weekend, and I finally picked out my favorites from Janet & Brandon’s Wedding. Janet booked me almost a year ago, she and I went to High School together and she wanted her pictures to be something special! So after talking back and forth a few times on Facebook she booked me for her special day!
I had a blast! The ceremony took place at North Side Baptist Church in Wauchula. The reception followed at the Zolfo Springs Civic Center. On the way to the reception I suggested that we stop at Heritige Park in Downtown Main Street. This is where I got the money shot of the day about 3/4 of the way down on this post is my absolute favorite pic not just of this wedding but in the last several weddings! It’s the one with them up against the brick, and in case your wondering that is Giovanis brick wall.
Be sure to leave me some comment love!
