So after shooting Janet and Brandon’s wedding on Saturday which got over at about 4:30 for me, I decided to call my good friend Arnoldo.  He had asked me to photograph their biggest homecoming of the year after the awesome pix I shot at Hardee’s HC dance!  I expected the wedding to go longer.  The dance was in New Port Richey about a two hour drive from my house.  So I changed clothes real quick and downloaded all my cards from the wedding and made a backup of them and headed out.  I made pretty good time.  But when I got there the back gate was locked, so after a little curb hopping and getting stopped by a rent a cop I finally arrived!

I set up my lights and started popping off shots!  I also got to try out my new camera low light video capability and while I’m no videographer but I think the video rocks!  It’s a bit noisy but keep in mind that it was shot in complete darkness!  Click here to check out Arnoldo’s post!

So was wondering what I was going to do on Saturday night, when I remembered that Arnoldo of A Premier Entertainment would be DJing the homecoming dance at HHS.  I shot him a quick email to make sure he was going to be their and offered to stop by and shoot some pix of the event for his blog.  So I showed up right at the beginning and setup a couple of flashes and I slapped some colored gels on them and started poping off some shots, this was the first real shoot where I got to try out my new ETTL Pocket Wizards and they rock!

The dance was a huge success!  At the peak of the party there were between 400-450 people in the gym!  I don’t think I have ever seen a school dance that packed and stay that way till the end!  If you need a DJ for your party or event be sure to hit up A Premier!  Don’t forget to check out Arnoldo’s post here for the video!

Well I hope everyone had a happy and safe 4th of July!  I went to Ana Maria were some family had rented  a place and I relaxed at the beach all day!  I wish I could just live right on the beach it was so relaxing, but maybe one day if I hit the lottery!  But I also didn’t leave the house with out my camera, and I got some excellent shots! I wanted to get a good shot of the entire fair before it was over, but I couldn’t find a good vantage point.  That is until Florida Sales and Rentals brought in their 60 foot cherry picker!  It wasn’t the best weather for being that high up, it was about 32 degrees on the ground, but a believe it was few degrees colder than that up there!  A big thanks goes out to Clay Cobb of Florida Sales and Rentals for accommodating me!

Last year there was no Ferris wheel to be found at our local county fair! I thought it was kind of silly. I don’t think a fair is official without the Ferris wheel. But the Hardee County Fair Association came through this year with not one but two Ferris wheels! So I decided to go out and get a few shots of them in action this one below was my favorite!
